FAQ: About eMicrocredit

eMicrocredit sends 100 percent of your loans to the borrowers listed on the site.

Self-sustainability is critical to us. To this end, we support ourselves principally on the "optional fees" our lenders voluntarily pay to the organization in addition to the loans they make.

We also raise funds through grants, interest earned on our bank accounts, and we have raised growth capital from small groups, corporate sponsors and foundations.

We are incredibly thankful for this support that has helped us keep up with a fast pace of growth.

eMicrocredit is an initiative of Hope Foundation which is a non-profit, public benefit trust registered in New Delhi, India.

We would like to eventually receive charitable or nonprofit status in other countries around the world. As our staff grows we will be able to pursue charitable/nonprofit status outside India.

eMicrocredit loans are not regulated as securities. eMicrocredit does not guarantee lenders that their loans will be repaid. eMicrocredit lenders should have no expectation of a financial return on their loans.
